PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

Private Health Insurance on the spot claims are available through our HICAPS system in the practice. To access this service, you will need to bring your private health insurance card to your appointment. If you do not bring you insurance card on the day, then full payment of the account is required, and you will need to obtain your rebate through your health fund separately.

REFERRALS

To see a Podiatrist, you do not require a referral unless you are claiming your treatment through Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA), Workcover, NDIS, Aged Care Package or Medicare (EPC/CDM)

  • Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA)
The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) allows some individuals to have access to ongoing Podiatry care at no cost to the individual if they have a Repatriation Health Card. Prior to treatment you will need a current DVA referral (D904) from your Doctor to see the Podiatrist. This needs to be brought into the clinic at the time of your appointment to allow the account to be claimed through to DVA. This service cannot be claimed if a referral is not arranged and full payment will need to be made at the time of the consult.
  • Work Cover
Foot & Sole Podiatrists can see patients under the Return to Work/Work Cover scheme in South Australia. The injured worker will need to provide a referral letter from their claim manager authorising care as well as their claim number and any supporting documentation. At times we will need to discuss the payment options with your claim manager prior to your appointment
  • Medicare (EPC/CDMP)
Podiatry treats patients referred by their GP under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM). If you have a current care plan in place, you are entitled to receive a rebate from Medicare for up to 5 visits per calendar year to Allied Health Professionals. If you feel that you may be eligible to receive benefits under this scheme, please discuss with your GP or Medicare.
  • NDIS Plan-Managed or Self-Managed
Podiatry services can be provided for NDIS recipients for in-rooms treatment or mobile home visit services. To utilise your NDIS funding for Podiatry, you will need to provide all your NDIS details via your support coordinator as a service agreement is required prior to booking an appointment
  • Aged Care Packages
We can provide Podiatry services through your Aged Care Package. Please check with your Aged Care Provider to ensure you have sufficient funding allocated for Podiatry services and prior service agreements are required prior to booking an appointment.

CONCESSION RATES

Concession rates are available to Health Care Card, Pensioners, Government Seniors Card holders and full-time tertiary students. Cards must be presented to claim a concession.

CANCELLATIONS

We understand certain situations arise and you will sometimes have to miss your appointment. If you need to cancel an appointment, we appreciate as much notice as possible, to allow us to offer the time to someone else. Multiple missed appointments may be charged a non-attendance fee at the discretion of the Podiatrist.
